On March 29, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, departed for a working visit to the city of Almaty.
During the informal meeting, the leaders of the two countries will discuss current issues related to the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as matters on the international and regional agenda.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, participated in a joint event – a concert featuring masters of culture and art from the three countries.
On the sidelines of the ongoing trilateral summit in the city of Khujand, a meeting took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
As part of the high-level events taking place in the city of Khujand, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov formally inaugurated the Friendship Monument at the junction point of the state borders of the three countries.
On March 31, in the city of Khujand, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, took part in a trilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
Following bilateral talks, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the foreign ministers of both countries signed a Protocol and exchanged instruments of ratification, officially bringing into force the Treaty on Allied Relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Upon arrival in the city of Khujand, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
