The discussions focused on further expanding interparliamentary exchanges between the two countries.
Both sides expressed deep satisfaction with the historic significance of the visit, which resulted in establishing a strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and France.
The Speaker of the lower house of the French Parliament highly praised the democratic reforms in New Uzbekistan, which have strengthened the role of representative bodies, expanded guarantees for the rights of women, children, youth, and persons with disabilities, and enhanced environmental security.
Discussions also covered the creation of an Uzbekistan – France Interparliamentary Forum and resuming friendship groups based on a roadmap for cooperation.
The President of Uzbekistan invited the Speaker of the National Assembly to visit Uzbekistan and participate in the 150th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held in April this year in Tashkent.
Following the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan signed the Guest of Honor Book.
