Amir Sheikh Meshal Al Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and other high-ranking officials welcomed the President of Uzbekistan at Kuwait International Airport.
In honor of the Uzbekistan Leader’s arrival, a guard of honor was assembled, national flags were raised, and the national anthems of both countries were played.
The President of Uzbekistan walked around the guard of honor. The heads of state then greeted members of the official delegations and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
A brief conversation between the leaders took place in the Amir’s terminal at the airport.
Today, the President of Uzbekistan and the Amir of Kuwait will hold high-level talks. The summit agenda includes discussions on further strengthening friendship and multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Kuwait and expanding cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment-financial, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Following the meetings, several intergovernmental and interagency agreements are expected to be signed.
