In accordance with the program, talks between the heads of state and the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by the Presidents, are planned. Issues of further deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as current aspects of the international and regional agenda, will be considered.
The focus is on expanding practical interaction in trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture and water management, and other priority areas.
A solid package of documents to strengthen bilateral relations is expected to be adopted.
It should be noted that business and cultural events are taking place in the capital of Kazakhstan as part of the state visit. The opening of a Monument to the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi is planned.
On August 9, the President of Uzbekistan will attend the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the First Summit of the Dialogue “Central Asia + Japan” in Astana.
