It was emphasized that the high voter turnout and voting results indicate broad support by the friendly Egyptian people for the policies and course of reforms of the current Head of state.

Issues of further strengthening the comprehensive partnership and enhancing multifaceted collaboration between Uzbekistan and Egypt were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit to Cairo in February this year.

The ongoing active contacts and exchanges were noted with satisfaction. The trade turnover is growing. The implementation of cooperation projects in agriculture, geology, water supply, transport, logistics, chemical industry, and other priority sectors has begun.

It was agreed upon to hold the next meeting of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council.

Views were exchanged on the current issues on the international agenda.
