The President of Uzbekistan noted with satisfaction the high results of fruitful cooperation achieved in recent years. The trade turnover and investment are growing. The Chirchiq Chemical-Industrial Technopark is operating successfully in Tashkent region, and the construction of a technopark in Jizzakh region continues.
Large cooperation projects are also being implemented in the chemical industry and mechanical engineering. There is a branch of the Kazan Federal University in Jizzakh.
The results of the Third Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, held the day before in Kazan, were noted. In particular, agreements on creating new industrial parks in the regions of Uzbekistan together with the Russian technoparks “Alabuga” and “Master”.
Issues regarding implementing promising cooperation projects in metalworking, the information and communications industry, housing, and communal services, and enhancing collaboration in education, tourism, and youth policy were discussed.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to promote practical partnership projects based on joint action plans in key areas.
