President of Uzbekistan receives the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States

    On February 18, upon returning from Kuwait to Tashkent, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, prominent political figure and former Prime Minister of Türkiye Binali Yıldırım, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in international urban planning events.

    The distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to the President of Uzbekistan.

    Discussions focused on further expansion of multifaceted cooperation within the Organization, considering the growing role and active participation of the Council of Elders in coordinating and promoting multilateral interaction.

    The importance of expanding practical partnerships and intensifying contacts to implement the programs and initiatives adopted at the summits of the Organization of Turkic States was emphasized.

    Discussions also covered the preparation and organization of upcoming events within the framework of the OTS.

    It is worth noting that the Council of Elders serves as a permanent advisory body to the Organization of Turkic States.

    The Congress of the Turkic World on Urban Planning is organized by the Union of Engineers and Architects, which was established in 2002 in Ankara. The hokimiyats of Samarkand and Navoi actively participate in the activities of the Union.
