The President of Uzbekistan receives the delegation of Türkiye

    On September 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Republic of Türkiye consisting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya and Director of the National Intelligence Organization of this country İbrahim Kalın.

    The high-level guests conveyed to the Leader of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

    Current issues of further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye and developing multifaceted cooperation in the context of implementing agreements on the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Türkiye on June 6-7 this year were considered.

    The fruitful results of today’s joint meeting of ministers and heads of agencies of the two states were highly appreciated. The importance of continuing regular and systematic contacts in accordance with the adopted roadmap and expanding the format and agenda of such negotiations was noted.

    The issues of deepening political dialogue, trade promotion, and economic and investment cooperation projects were discussed. Particular attention was paid to strengthening interdepartmental coordination and joint activities to counter modern challenges and security threats.

    Views were also exchanged on the current aspects of regional interaction and cooperation as part of international organizations.
