The President of Uzbekistan cordially congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his 65th birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, prosperity and success, peace and well-being to the fraternal people of Turkmenistan.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s great contribution to the formation of modern Turkmenistan and the enhancement of the authority of the state in the international arena, the strengthening of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was emphasized.

Issues of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in the context of preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan were discussed.

The main attention was paid to the promotion of cooperation projects in trade and industry, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, as well as the intensification of interregional contacts and cultural-humanitarian exchange.

The parties also exchanged views on the current aspects of regional interaction, including on issues of promoting lasting peace and socio-economic reconstruction of Afghanistan.

The President of Uzbekistan sincerely wished successful holding of the Sixth Caspian Summit, which is being held in the capital of Turkmenistan these days.
