Talks between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov were held in both contracted and expanded formats, during which current issues related to developing friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed.
The heads of state inaugurated the joint “Shavat – Dashoguz” border trade zone.
The Leader of Uzbekistan solemnly presented President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the “Oliy Darajali Do‘stlik” Order.
The Presidents signed a Joint Statement and shared their assessments of the talks’ outcomes with media representatives.
During his stay in Tashkent, the President of Turkmenistan also attended the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
Following the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev saw off President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at Tashkent-Humo International Airport.
