Following high-level talks between Uzbekistan and the EU, a tree-planting ceremony was held.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, jointly planted two oak trees along the alley of the Congress Center in Samarkand.
The tree planting served as a symbolic gesture of the deepening friendship, multifaceted cooperation, and growing partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
Following the bilateral events at the Kuksaroy Residence, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin visited the Alley of Honored Guests.
Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Lukashenko planted a tree on the Alley of Honored Guests as a sign of their commitment to further strengthening friendship and partnership between the two countries and peoples.
