The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the successful results of the Constitutional Referendum and the organization of this event in accordance with high international standards, during a telephone conversation on May 1.

The dynamic development of multifaceted cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan was noted with deep satisfaction.

The real progress on major projects of industrial cooperation was emphasized.

Important events in the rapprochement of the two fraternal peoples were the opening of the renovated Academic Theater named after Babur in the city of Osh and the holding University Sports Festival in the city of Kokand.

The heads of state instructed to carefully prepare a meeting of the Dialogue of Generations with the participation of elders and youth of the two countries.

Views were exchanged on issues of regional interaction, including the preparation of a multilateral summit in Kyrgyzstan in early June this year.
