Following the high-level Uzbekistan – Slovakia talks, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, jointly planted a tree on the Alley of Honorary Guests.
The ceremony symbolized the growing friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries’ peoples. It began a new stage in developing a strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Slovakia.
On December 11, upon arrival in Ashgabat, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

On 25 November, an extraordinary session of the Samarkand Regional Council of People’s Deputies was held. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the session.
On 18 November, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Asian Development Bank led by its President Masato Kanda.
