The discussion focused on the most pressing issues related to further expanding and strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the spirit of friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance.
Particular attention was given to implementing practical cooperation plans per the agreements reached during the Azerbaijani President’s state visit to Uzbekistan in August last year.
The leaders expressed deep satisfaction with the productive joint efforts being carried out within the framework of the Year of Economic Cooperation. Trade turnover continues to grow, and projects in automotive manufacturing, textiles, electrical engineering, energy, agriculture, tourism, and many other sectors are actively progressing.
Additionally, regular events are being held as part of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The presidents also exchanged views on international affairs and reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral meetings and multilateral summits at various levels.
