The heads of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan launched new cooperation projects

    Following the talks, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov participated in the launching ceremony of major cooperation projects.

    In particular, a project has been launched to construct two solar power plants with a total capacity of 400 megawatts in Fergana and Namangan regions. It is envisaged that the electricity generated at these stations will be supplied to the Kyrgyz Republic.

    A plant for producing modern passenger cars and commercial vehicles was commissioned in Chuy region. In particular, cars of the Cobalt, Onyx, and Tracker brands and trucks will be produced.

    The production of sewing, knitwear, and linens has also started in Kara-Balta. Modern technological equipment was supplied and installed at the enterprise.

    The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan expressed confidence that these projects will enhance mutually beneficial practical cooperation between the two countries.
