Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan Presidents hold a phone call

    On March 16, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

    The leaders of the two countries discussed the current issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation in Central Asia.

    The main attention was paid to the continuation of close cooperation and effective coordination of efforts to minimize the negative consequences of crisis phenomena in the global economy.

    The importance of creating favorable conditions for ensuring the dynamics of growth in bilateral trade, accelerating the implementation of major cooperation projects in industry, energy, agriculture, food and textile industries, transport and logistics, as well as active joint activities within the framework of the cultural-humanitarian exchange program was emphasized.

    Following the telephone conversation, the heads of state exchanged warm congratulations on the upcoming spring holiday of Navruz, sincerely wishing the two fraternal peoples peace, prosperity and wellbeing.

    The conversation took place in a traditionally open and friendly atmosphere.
