Following the talks held in Ljubljana, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Robert Golob, signed a Joint Statement.
A ceremony was held in their presence to exchange bilateral agreements, including:
– on the exemption of holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements;
– on cooperation in education, science, and culture;
– on cooperation in transport and logistics;
– on cooperation in the management of smart cities;
– on cooperation in standardization;
– on cooperation in water resource management;
– on cooperation in tourism.
As part of the working visit to the Russian Federation, a ceremony was held at the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory to present the Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
On December 21 in Saint Petersburg, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part, in the status of an observer head of state, in the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
Following the high-level talks at the Kantei Residence, an official reception was held on behalf of the Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi in honor of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
As part of the official visit to Tokyo, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Japan’s Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Yohei Matsumoto, the head of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Tsuyoshi Sugino, and leaders of prominent Japanese universities such as the University of Tsukuba, Nagoya University, Tottori University, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, as well as Nagoya University of Economics.
