The Leader of Tajikistan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and great success, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed further development of friendship, good neighbourliness, strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, with a focus on the practical implementation of high-level agreements.
The growing volume of mutual trade and the advancement of cooperation projects across various sectors of the economy, including through the joint investment company, have been noted. Work is underway to launch cross-border trade centers. Direct flights between Samarkand and Dushanbe have resumed. Important cultural programs are also being implemented.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan also discussed regional issues, including preparations for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
