The leaders warmly congratulated each other on the holy Ramadan Hayit – Eid al-Fitr and the spring festival of Navruz, and sincerely wished peace, well-being, and continued prosperity to the brotherly peoples of the two countries.
The President of Uzbekistan also conveyed warm congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the active dynamics in the development of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Fruitful contacts at all levels are ongoing. Steady growth in trade turnover is being ensured, including through the supply of finished products. The expansion of mutual trade is also facilitated by the effective operation of the recently launched “Shavat – Dashoguz” trade zone.
The volume of cargo transportation is steadily increasing, including through the Turkmenbashi port. Cooperation is expanding in energy, industry, water management, and transport. Special attention was paid to expanding interparliamentary, interregional, business, cultural, and humanitarian exchanges.
The parties exchanged views on the evolving situation in the Middle East and South Asia. It was emphasized that the only path to lasting peace lies in resolving the situation through political and diplomatic means.
The schedule of multilateral and bilateral events for this year was also discussed.
