President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely, wholeheartedly congratulated all Muslims of the country, all the people of Uzbekistan with Ramadan Hayit – Eid al-Fitr and expressed his deepest respect and best wishes.

“On these blessed and bright days, when our hearts are overwhelmed with joy, we, first of all, thank the Almighty for celebrating this sacred holiday in peace, friendship and harmony, with our families, together with all our people.

It is gratifying that this holiday, which our people have honored for centuries as a great spiritual value, a symbol of kindness, mercy and humanism, is taking an ever stronger place in the life of our society”, the President said.

The Head of the state noted that this year Ramadan Hayit is taking place at a historic time. Based on the implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan, which embodied the noble idea “In the name of human honor and dignity”, our large-scale reforms are reaching an even higher level.

As is known, Ramadan Hayit calls on all peoples to live in friendship and mutual understanding, harmony and cooperation, which is a clear expression of the exaltation of human honor and dignity.

Undoubtedly, it’s all about securing the rights and interests of a person in religion. In recent years, large-scale activity has been carried out in the country to restore religious values and to study the richest scientific and spiritual heritage of our people. The improvement of such shrines as the burial places of the seven great Sufis in Bukhara, the mausoleum of Imam Termezi in Surkhandarya region, memorial complexes – Abul Muin Nasafi in Kashkadarya and Zangi-Ota in Tashkent region, Sulton Uvays Karani in Namangan, Suzuk-Ota in the city of Tashkent are a clear confirmation of this.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed that as a logical continuation of our good deeds, large-scale construction and improvement work is being carried out in Mir Arab madrasah in Bukhara, the memorial complex of Imam Bukhari in Samarkand, the Center of Islamic Civilization in the city of Tashkent.

“As is known, due to the coronavirus pandemic, some restrictions have been imposed on pilgrimage – Hajj and Umrah. Thanks to the measures taken, we have restored the pilgrimage Umrah for our citizens since January this year. Over the past short time, about 35 thousand compatriots performed the sacred pilgrimage.

I am glad to announce that this year there is also an opportunity to perform the sacred Hajj.

Indeed, this is another mercy of the Almighty to our compatriots, who with great endurance overcame all difficulties in the days of trials”, the Head of the state said.

Today we all see how rapidly the situation in the world is changing. In some regions, conflicts and confrontations quickly flare up, which then become a serious threat to peace and security. All this poses important tasks for us and calls us to always be vigilant and attentive.

Our sacred religion teaches that a true Muslim must always be ready for any trials, and people with pure thoughts who do good deeds will surely be rewarded.

In this sense, today requires to strengthen stability in the country, an atmosphere of mutual respect and harmony, and moving towards progress, based on centuries-old, unfading national values.

As the President emphasized, we need to educate the youth, which is our hope, our future, based on the harmonization of such important qualities, as a spiritually mature generation capable of successfully competing in the international arena.

Only with such specific goals, thanks to the constant search and striving for something new, will we be able to achieve better results today than yesterday, and tomorrow even greater than today, to create a comfortable and prosperous life.

“We must always remember that the greatest wealth in the world, which will never lose its value, is knowledge and education.

Effectively using our rich national traditions and modern experience in the education of advanced states, we will certainly achieve the high targets we have set”, the President noted.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also sincerely congratulated all Muslims of the near and far abroad, wishing them peace, progress and prosperity.

Uzbekistan declared holidays on the occasion of Ramadan Hayit for the meaningful celebration of these blessed days with the family, in mahallas, cities and villages. This is a good opportunity to visit parents, those who need support and meet relatives on holiday.

The Head of the state expressed confidence that our fellow citizens will actively participate in the ongoing work aimed at further improving the socio-spiritual atmosphere in society, helping everyone, especially young people, to take a worthy place in life.

The President once again, sincerely congratulated all the people of the country on Ramadan Hayit, which is widely celebrated in the country, wished peace, happiness and health, prosperity and well-being.
