Nearly 15 000 libraries are operating in Uzbekistan

    As of January 1, 2025, 14,999 libraries are operating across the country. They collectively hold 85 million copies of books and magazines.

    This was reported by the National Statistics Committee. It is noted that the number of library users totaled 12.8 million people.

    The breakdown of library users is as follows:

    31.6% — children under 14 years old,

    45.9% — teenagers aged 15–24,

    22.6% — people aged 25 and older.
