Search for Iranian climbers missing at Victory Peak stopped

The search for two climbers from Iran who disappeared on Victory Peak in Kyrgyzstan has been stopped. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"All search operations have been stopped, it is not yet known whether they will resume this year," said a spokesman.

According to him, there are currently bad weather conditions in the area of the disappearance of the Iranian climbers.

Iranians Maryam Pilekhvari and Hassan Seyfollah arrived in Kyrgyzstan to climb Victory Peak in early August. The last time they contacted was on August 12. A drone was sent to search for them, which did not detect the climbers during a flyby of the territory.

The Kyrgyz mountaineering community assumes that the climbers from Iran died. oxu.az.
