At the beginning of the dialogue, which took place after a solemn ceremony at the Basman Palace in Amman, the Ambassador of our country conveyed greetings from the President of Uzbekistan to the King of Jordan, the Dunyo news agency reports.

The head of Jordan thanked the leader of our country and wished success to the newly appointed ambassador, and expressed hope for further strengthening the historical ties between the two fraternal countries and bringing them to a qualitatively new level.

The King of Jordan noted that every assistance will be provided to the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in order to further strengthen friendly relations between the two states.

Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Jordan were established on February 15, 1993.

On May 28 of this year, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan presented copies of his credentials to Majid al-Qatarna, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation with Compatriots Abroad of Jordan.

Nodirjon Turgunov arrived in Riyadh in March 2024 as Uzbekistan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia. In November 2024, he was also accredited as the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

In April 2025, he also presented copies of his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain as the first Ambassador of our country.
