On December 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev examined the bridge built on Qipchoq Street in Sergeli district.

The street intersects with Tashkent – Angren railway. Moreover, it used to be narrow and congested.

For this reason, the carriageway of Qipchoq Street was expanded to 6 lanes, and a 772-meter-long bridge was erected over the railway, including 445 meters in the overpass. The height of the bridge is 28 meters.

The Head of the state paid special attention to the quality of the facility and its role in improving the city’s transport system.

The bridge is capable of providing continuous traffic of up to 12 thousand vehicles per hour. Most importantly, it connects two major transport arteries –Tashkent ring road and Yangi Sergeli bypass road. All this will create more convenience for drivers, simplify traffic, and reduce congestion.

“When the pandemic began, we set a goal to get out of it even stronger”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in an interview with Tashkent public. – We all see what is happening in the world. In some countries, construction work has sometimes stopped. Our people in a disciplined and united manner are implementing all their plans. Together we can do a lot.

On June 4, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the project of the overpass at the intersection of Chuponota Street and the Small Ring Road. In the future, this overpass and a new bridge on Qipchoq Street will be connected by a new road.

A presentation of projects, developed in cooperation with Turkey’s Kalyon company, on the reconstruction of highways in Tashkent, improving the movement of transport and passengers, was held.
