According to AZERTAC, the prime minister stated this at an emergency press conference in parliament. The statement was made against the background of the parliament's plans to vote for a vote of no confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers, BTA reports.
BTA writes that massive anti-government protests have arisen in Bulgaria due to the "contradictory budget plans" of the Cabinet of Ministers, which then escalated into discontent with the government due to "corruption, injustice and failures in many public sectors."
Rallies have been taking place in Bulgaria since the end of November, and the protesters were unhappy with the cabinet's plans to raise social taxes on employers and taxes on dividends in order to increase spending on the public sector.
Calls for the resignation of the government did not stop even after the Cabinet of Ministers on December 2 withdrew the draft budget for next year, which caused discontent.
