During the conversation, specific proposals and initiatives were put forward to further expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations, including strengthening international dialogue between youth parliaments, implementing joint projects in the field of ecology, artificial intelligence and digital education. Also, at the initiative of the head of our state, cooperation was proposed in organizing a high-level International Forum of Young Parliamentarians in Samarkand in 2026, as well as the participation of the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth with important initiatives.
The meeting discussed the essence and significance of the UN Youth 2030 Strategy, as well as priorities in promoting youth issues within its framework.
The main directions, fundamental reforms and practical results of the formation and implementation of the state youth policy in Uzbekistan are also widely disclosed. Thus, it was noted that taking into account the fact that the share of young people in the country's population exceeds 55%, ensuring their rights and interests has become a priority area of government policy.
At the end of the dialogue, which took place in a friendly and businesslike atmosphere, an agreement was reached on the further expansion of mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and the United Nations in all areas.
