    As of September 23, 2025, by 14:00, the volume of electricity produced in Uzbekistan by solar and wind power plants reached 8 billion kWh.

    This result is a vivid confirmation of the implementation of the strategic objectives outlined by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on September 20, 2023 at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. Among them are the adaptation of the economy to climate change, the achievement of carbon neutrality and a significant increase in the share of "green" energy.

    According to the Ministry of Energy, there are currently 12 solar photovoltaic plants and 5 wind farms with a total capacity of 4,682 megawatts in the country.

    Tangible environmental and economic results have been achieved through green energy.:

    2 billion 424 million cubic meters of natural gas were saved;

    The release of 3 million 552 thousand tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere was prevented.

    In addition, since the beginning of this year, as of September 23, by 17:00, all hydro, solar and wind power plants in the country have jointly generated 13 billion 220 million kWh of electricity. Thus, the share of "green" energy in the total generation reached 22%.

    This amount is equal to the nine-month consumption of 7.3 million households or the annual consumption of 5.5 million families.
