    Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi died in a plane crash - the helicopter in which he was flying with the Foreign minister crashed. None of those flying on the ship survived, the Mehr state agency reports.

    "Ibrahim Raisi was involved in an accident and suffered a martyr's death while serving and fulfilling his duties to the people of Iran," the agency said in a statement.

    According to the agency, the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian crashed on Sunday in a forest in East Azerbaijan (province of Iran). After several hours of searching, the helicopter's location was discovered. Along with this, it became known that the passengers of the ship were killed.
