This pharmaceutical company is among the leading producers of infusion drugs. Today, it accounts for 20 percent of the total volume of infusion solutions manufactured in Uzbekistan.
Such medications are considered among the most essential medical products. Their production requires more complex technological processes than the manufacture of standard tablet forms, as the solution is delivered directly into the bloodstream. Therefore, they must be produced under conditions of absolute sterility, with high precision, and in full compliance with international standards.
The project’s total cost exceeds $30 million, and the enterprise currently employs 750 people. Its annual capacity is 114 million units of pharmaceuticals across 70 product types, with a total value of 135 billion UZS. These products are in demand in foreign markets, with 20 percent of output exported.
In November this year, the second phase of the project was launched, further increasing production capacity. Output will include 30 million units of infusion solutions, more than 70 million units of dry antibiotics, and nearly 20 million units of eye and nasal drops.
The Head of State reviewed the products and a presentation on the next phase of the project.
The enterprise’s product range is expected to increase to 200 items in the future. At this stage, production will expand to include injectable solutions in glass and plastic vials, as well as tablets and capsules. The number of jobs will be increased to one thousand.
The President also met with local officials and community representatives.
An open discussion was held on key issues related to the economy, industry, agriculture, youth education, and the region’s future development. The Head of State emphasized that citizens’ initiative is a decisive factor in improving the effectiveness of reforms.
“Changes must be felt first and foremost in the mahallas. You must stay in constant communication with people and guide the youth in the right direction. If we all remain active, our efforts and the reforms underway will certainly deliver results. We have come to Syrdarya with great plans. Together, we will discuss and implement these plans”, the President said.
