At the beginning of his speech, the Head of the state congratulated everyone on Ramadan Hayit (Eid al-Fitr).
Special attention was paid to development of economic sectors, poverty reduction and job creation. It was noted that there are more than 40 thousand low-income families in Andijan region. It is necessary to create sources of income for them through the implementation of industrial projects, development of agriculture and horticulture, family business, handicrafts and self-employment.
“Deputy Prime Ministers, khokims and sector leaders should know the problems of each low-income family and work with them in a targeted manner”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was determined that from now on, a poverty reduction headquarters will be organized in each sector. Representatives of agencies for economy, finance, labor, investment, tax authorities and banks will be attached to the headquarters. The amount of their salary will depend on the achieved results. Tax authorities will become the taxpayer's assistants, not the auditors.
“Until now, the right direction has not been developed, guided only by figures from statisticians, our people have not received any benefit from this. Proposals should come from districts, from people themselves. Ministers and leaders should work more in the regions and remote villages, not in the cabinet. A leader who does not show selflessness in such a difficult situation is equal to a traitor. You get paid thanks to people. The closer a civil servant is to people, the more results will be achieved at places, and the principle of justice will be ensured”, noted the President.
