Small industrial zones and technology parks are being created in all cities and districts to activate growth points in the regions and create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs.

Urgench Technopark has been commissioned in May this year. Soon two companies started operating here – Oq Oltin Mega Textile for manufacturing clothing and Great Khorezm for production of various metal products.

The Head of the state became acquainted with products of the textile enterprise.

Sewing equipment from Germany, Italy and Turkey is installed here. The company produces more than 100 items of clothing for children and adults, including denim. 75 percent of goods are exported.

The company employs 400 women from Urgench and Khiva, Yangiariq, Khanka and Urgench districts. The Head of the state spoke with employees.

“I am glad to meet you, to see that you have a profession and favorite job here. We are working hard to provide jobs for people, especially women and young people. This is the purpose of my trip to Khorezm”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The President noted the importance of employing women on the basis of home-based work.

Today, equipment is being delivered to remaining blocks of the technopark. It is expected that after reaching full capacity, the complex will produce goods worth about 87 billion UZS and export for $5.8 million a year.

Projects on improving infrastructure, developing tourism and entrepreneurship, providing employment, and reducing poverty, on the example of the city of Khiva and Gurlan districts were discussed.
