At the invitation of President of the European Council António Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed on October 23 for an official visit to Brussels.
During his stay in the capital of Belgium, the Head of State will hold talks with the leaders of the European Union, during which issues of expanding and deepening multifaceted relations will be discussed.
It is planned to sign the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the EU.
In addition, meetings are scheduled with King Philippe of the Belgians, as well as with representatives of leading European companies and financial institutions.
On December 12 in Ashgabat, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, participated in an International Forum marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the International Day of Neutrality, and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
