On October 13, the President addressed the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, put forward important initiatives on cooperation in trade and economy, transport and logistics, ecology, security, as well as on the Afghan issue.
The development of multilateral cooperation, political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian interaction within the organization were discussed on October 14 at the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting.
The Central Asia – Russia Summit was also held.
Following the visit, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov saw off the President of Uzbekistan at the Astana International Airport.
The President of Uzbekistan has returned to Tashkent.
