Zaamin’s industrial potential on the rise

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the progress of construction of a household appliance manufacturing plant in Zaamin district of Jizzakh region.

Uzbekistan possesses significant potential in this sector. The Head of State has set the objective of launching the production of new products under national brands and transforming the country into a regional hub for electrical engineering. The enterprise in Zaamin will form part of this strategy.

The complex is being established as a branch of the Navoi Industrial Park and occupies an area of 80 hectares. The total cost of the project is $150 million. The plant will produce 1 million units of household appliances and components annually, including washing machines, refrigerators, televisions, and water heaters. The product range will comprise approximately 100 items, with localization levels of up to 70 percent.

The annual production volume holds particular significance, reaching $320 million, of which $140 million is projected to come from exports. The enterprise is expected to create more than 7,000 jobs.

Finished products manufactured in the industrial park will be exported to more than 15 countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and others.

To ensure rapid adaptation to changing market demands, the plant will feature its mold production workshop, as well as a modern logistics center, to ensure the efficient delivery of goods to customers.

In addition, the industrial park plans to establish production of plastic components for enterprises operating under Uzavtosanoat JSC.
