The economic reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan are producing tangible results across various sectors and industries. The country is witnessing a technological breakthrough: in the first five months of this year alone, industrial production grew by 6.4 percent, while exports in this sector exceeded $6 billion.
A significant contribution to these indicators is made by the Kashkadarya industry, particularly the export-oriented enterprise Alp Texno Servis located in Karshi. This 10-million-dollar project has become part of the global supply chain in electrical engineering. The enterprise manufactures products for international brands such as TCL and Hofmann, and has also launched its product line under the “Smart” brand.
Under these brands, up to 500,000 televisions and electronic boards are produced annually. The products are distinguished by high technological sophistication, compliance with quality standards, and modern design. As a result, 70 percent of the output is export-oriented. Last year, the company’s exports exceeded $2 million, and this year, the goal is to reach $10 million.
The Head of State emphasized the need for further development in this area.
“We have already gained experience and gained access to foreign markets. Now, this enterprise must be expanded. There will always be a demand for such products. But it is essential to improve quality and diversify the product range to maintain competitiveness”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated.
Localization remains one of the key priorities. Currently, the enterprise has achieved a localization level of over 50 percent. In the future, four additional projects worth $20 million are planned to establish the production of vacuum cleaners, electric kettles, air conditioners, and fans. These initiatives are expected to generate export potential of up to $30 million annually.
The enterprise employs 200 people. A dual education system has been introduced in cooperation with Karshi State Technical University.
