The cluster can produce 15 thousand tractors, trailers, and other equipment annually. Employment of 1 thousand jobs has been provided. Another important aspect is the expansion of cooperation between industry enterprises, reducing costs and production costs.
The first domestic product – a universal tractor- was released in the cluster recently. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev became familiar with the first cars.
The production of a combine harvester is also being launched. The importance of continuing work in this direction, localization of imported products, and involvement of the private sector in this process were emphasized.
“There is a great demand for machinery in our agriculture. We need affordable, domestic, economical equipment. This requires work on localization and prime cost. If we do not supply dehkans with inexpensive equipment, there will be no interest”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
The Head of state stressed the importance of technical maintenance of equipment.
It was emphasized that the cluster should not only sell, but also service equipment.
The task was set to create service centers and organize high-quality service in the example of Tashkent region, to train youth to repair equipment for free.
Special attention is paid to integrating science and production in the cluster, and a modern scientific center has been opened. In cooperation with educational centers of German and Swedish companies, the training of specialists in continuous dual education has been established here. At the same time, students of higher education institutions consolidate their internships in the cluster.
The President examined the samples of products and talked with specialists.
“Currently, at places, in clusters, the volume of machine cotton harvesting is approaching 50 percent. For 6 months this year, we exported more than 550 million fruits and vegetables, and shortly, we want to increase it to 2-3 billion. There are also many projects in all branches of agriculture. They need high-quality, affordable equipment to increase productivity and facilitate people’s work”, the President noted.
Special attention in the cluster is paid to using alternative energy sources. In particular, solar panels are installed on an area of 20 thousand square meters. This can cover up to 30 percent of the cluster’s electricity needs.
