According to the Senate, during the negotiations, the parties noted the firm mutual interest in the consistent development and strengthening of interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Canada.
The results of the visit of the delegation of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan to Canada on November 26-27, 2025 and the successful holding of Uzbekistan Day in the Canadian Parliament were highly appreciated.
The parties discussed the issues of holding the first interparliamentary forum "Uzbekistan – Canada" in the city of Samarkand in 2026. Also, during the visit of the Canadian delegation to our country, it is planned to consider issues of trade and investment cooperation, including in the field of important minerals, agriculture, clean energy, education and innovation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation in order to develop interparliamentary dialogue between Uzbekistan and Canada.
