Samarkand hosts the 21st meeting of the heads of security and intelligence agencies of the CIS countries

    On October 17, 2025, the 21st meeting of the Meeting of Heads of Security Agencies and Intelligence Services of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States begins in the city of Samarkand.

    The event, held for the first time in Uzbekistan, will be attended by the heads of security agencies and intelligence services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

    The meeting will be chaired by the Head of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel-General B.Kurbanov.

    The upcoming forum will include an exchange of views on current challenges and threats, and further steps to strengthen partnership between the intelligence services of the CIS countries.

    The venue of the event and the agenda were determined at the 20th (anniversary) meeting of the Meeting, held on November 26, 2024 in Moscow.

    Following the meeting, the heads of delegation will identify specific tasks and priorities for cooperation in ensuring regional security.
