In the first 7 months of this year, industrial production increased by 7.1 percent and reached 435 trillion UZS. High growth rates were observed in the electrical, textile, leather, and automotive industries. 1.3 thousand new capacities were put into operation locally, and additional production sources worth 40 trillion UZS were created.
However, the situation is not the same in all regions and industries. In particular, in 4 districts, industrial production decreased compared to last year, and in 14 districts, growth did not even reach 2 percent.
In this regard, a work system in the context of enterprises has been introduced at the local level. The Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy and Finance reported on the work started in this direction and plans for the rest of the year.
To date, 112 thousand enterprises in the regions have been studied, and their problems are being solved. In particular, assistance was provided in working capital, electricity and gas supply, and taxation. By the end of the year, it is planned to create conditions for producing products for an additional 30 trillion UZS.
For this purpose, instructions were given on assigning responsible persons to enterprises based on the number of employees and training entrepreneurs in modern approaches. Programs will be developed for industrially oriented districts of each region.
Measures to launch large projects, increase the share of domestic products in government procurement, and increase export volumes were discussed.
