During the conversation, issues of bilateral cooperation, the work carried out in Uzbekistan within the framework of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation, support for women, expanding their socio-economic opportunities, further enhancing their participation in the life of the state and society, as well as a number of other important issues were discussed in detail.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President of the Senate warmly welcomed the guest and told about the large-scale reforms being carried out in the country, the establishment of good-neighborly relations, the conditions created within the framework of support for women, the work being done to protect human rights, combating human trafficking and forced labor, improving legislation and familiarized with their results.
At the same time, during the conversation it was noted that on June 23-24, 2021, an international forum dedicated to global inter-parliamentary cooperation in achieving Sustainable Development Goals was held in Bukhara.
In turn, Amina Mohammed also noted that positive changes have been taking place in Uzbekistan in recent years, this is widely recognized at the international level. She emphasized that Uzbekistan, as a leading country in the Central Asian region, is actively working to support women.
