The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction has announced which days Uzbekistanis will rest in honor of the Day of Remembrance and Honors.
The following days off will be:
May 9 (Friday) is a Day of Remembrance and honors, a holiday for everyone;
Saturday, May 10 is a day off for employees who work 5 days a week, and a working day for employees who work 6 days a week.;
Sunday, May 11, is a day off for everyone.
Thus, on Memorial Day, for those who work 6 days a week, the days off will be Friday and Sunday. Those who work 5 days a week will have days off - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction announced the schedule of days off in connection with the celebration of September 1 - Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The celebrations will be held under the slogan: "In the name of the Motherland, in the name of the nation, in the name of the people!"
Since August 15, a "Week against forced Labor" has been announced in schools and pre-school educational organizations throughout the republic. As part of the campaign, the Labor Inspectorate will conduct control measures in all educational institutions.
The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to introduce a modern organizational system and financial support for the activities of owners of household lands and dehkan farms" (No. UP-22 dated 02/14/2025) was adopted.
