During the meeting, topical issues of the Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance in the context of the development of inter-parliamentary relations were discussed.

Welcoming the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, the President noted that her visit to Astana is a vivid confirmation of the special nature of strategic relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated the personal contribution of Tanzila Narbayeva to strengthening the bonds of friendship and good neighborliness between the two peoples.:

"Your visit is very important in terms of strengthening friendly relations between our countries. We pay high priority to the development of cooperation with fraternal Uzbekistan.
