    On October 29, 2024, a meeting was held in the Senate with a delegation headed by the chairman of the interparliamentary friendship group Mongolia - Uzbekistan S. Erdenebat.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia, paying special attention to enhancing cooperation within the framework of the interparliamentary group Mongolia - Uzbekistan.

    It was particularly noted that thanks to the political will and joint efforts of the leaders of both countries, the multifaceted cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mongolia has reached a new level in recent years.

    S. Erdenebat stressed the high level of organization of elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local representative bodies, focusing on transparency, openness and objectivity of all stages of the electoral process, their compliance with international democratic standards.

    It was noted that the parliamentary elections were held in a new socio-political atmosphere based on the updated Constitution.

    At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on expanding ties between the parliaments of the two countries and intensifying cooperation within the framework of the Mongolia-Uzbekistan interparliamentary group, as well as on developing a specific action plan for broad cooperation.
