The sides exchanged views on the participation of Chinese representatives and their impressions at the Central Asia-China Forum on green energy at Samarkand State University and at the international ICT week.
- Interuniversity cooperation between our countries continues to strengthen, - said Minister K. Sharipov. - Direct contacts and joint programs of our universities are an example of successful initiatives.
The parties noted the work of Tashkent State Technical University and Tashkent University of Information Technology, which conduct close cooperation with China in the field of advanced engineering schools and discussed further strengthening of direct interuniversity relations. At the same time, the organization of joint educational programs and the implementation of joint research in relevant areas were separately emphasized.
Zhang Lijun, President of Xi'an Transport University, expressed China's willingness to use mutual innovations in the field of poverty reduction and proposed to implement a project in this direction with Samarkand State University. At the same time, several sites will be selected in the Samarkand region and, in cooperation with scientists, new approaches will be introduced in the fight against poverty through the chain of universities-enterprises-government agencies-banks.
The parties expressed confidence that cooperation with China will continue to develop, bringing mutual benefit and strengthening friendship between our peoples.
