During the conversation, Shavkat Umurzakov noted that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to strengthening international relations, including with the states of the African continent.

He stressed that the policy of openness, implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, contributes to the expansion of international cooperation and the formation of a solid platform for inter-municipal partnerships.

In turn, Tulia Axon expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and highly appreciated the transformations taking place in Uzbekistan in the field of social policy, urban infrastructure and the development of civil society institutions.

The importance of the mahalla institute as a unique example of caring for a person and his environment was emphasized.

The parties discussed the prospects for establishing partnerships between Tashkent and the cities of Tanzania, as well as opportunities for cooperation in the humanitarian and educational fields, tourism and sustainable urban development.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue and explore areas of potential cooperation.
