During the conversation, the efforts of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China on the peaceful settlement of the Afghan crisis, the speedy provision of humanitarian and other assistance to the country were discussed.
The interlocutor highly appreciated the policy of the Uzbek leadership to further strengthen and develop Uzbek-Chinese cooperation, including in the Afghan direction.
The parties indicated that without developing a consolidated position of the world community in relation to the new Afghan authorities, it is impossible to resolve the acute socio-humanitarian crisis, as well as to promote the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the country.
The importance of implementing various infrastructure projects in the energy, transport and logistics sectors in Afghanistan was noted.
Mutual interest was expressed in continuing consultations on Afghan issues at the level of special representatives of Uzbekistan and China, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
