The agenda of the meeting included issues of further development of Uzbek-Egyptian relations in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and interparliamentary areas and expansion of cooperation.
It was emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and Egypt, based on strategic partnership, have reached a new level of development in terms of content and quality thanks to the visits and regular dialogue between the presidents of the two countries.
During the meeting, the sides stressed that the similarity of common historical, cultural values and customs is the main factor in the relationship, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries. The need to implement joint projects in the fields of science, education, scientific study of rare manuscripts, medicine, tourism and hotel services was discussed.
The Egyptian side wished success in holding an important political event - the parliamentary elections to be held in our country this year, and expressed its readiness to participate in these elections as international observers.
During the dialogue, an agreement was reached on the establishment of systematic parliamentary control in order to ensure the implementation of the high-level agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries.
At the end of the conversation, an agreement was reached to organize a regular meeting of the interparliamentary friendship group in Tashkent or Cairo, including agreeing on the date and agenda of the event through diplomatic channels.
