The report was filmed from September 12 to 18, 2025 in Tashkent and Samarkand during a visit organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan together with the Committee on Tourism of the creative group of the program "Chefs on wheels", reports the Dune news agency.
The star Russian chefs spoke about the gastronomic and tourist potential of our country, as well as got acquainted with its rich culture in order to promote the growth of the number of tourists from Russia.
The trip began with a walk through historical places: Registan Square, Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Amir Temur monument. Then the chefs were invited to the homes of local residents, where they cooked pilaf and tortillas together, and also watched a performance by a folklore ensemble. The day ended with a visit to the Kongil tourist village and the Meros paper mill. At the end of the program, chefs prepared Samarkand pilaf on Registan Square, after which it was tasted by locals and tourists of the city.
The cooking show "Chefs on Wheels" is of great interest to Russian viewers: the total audience of federal and regional media exceeds 18 million people.
At the end of each program, famous chefs arrange a real culinary battle: they prepare their own versions of local dishes at the central sights of the cities, and residents try them, vote and choose the winner.
