The United States has been canceling the mandatory coronavirus test for air passengers arriving in the country since June 12 of this year.

According to the Associated Press, the Joseph Biden administration is canceling the requirement that international travelers submit a negative result for COVID-19 during the day before boarding a flight to the United States.

"This step was made possible thanks to the progress we have made in the fight against COVID-19," said US Secretary of Health Xavier Becerra.

At the same time, the US authorities said they would continue to monitor the state of the pandemic and re-evaluate the need for testing if the situation changes.
