Experts linked climate and economic models and introduced a huge number of variables into the device, which has great computing power: data on 1200 technologies for the production and use of different types of energy, information on methods for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, population size, cost of energy technologies, etc. As a result, the computer generated four thousand scenarios of possible climate disasters for 15 regions of the world until 2100, Mir24 reports.
In 70% of scenarios, the supercomputer produces a situation in which by 2028 the air temperature on the planet will rise by 1.5 degrees. This indicator is still safe for humanity, but its excess will lead to irreversible and catastrophic consequences, scientists warn. They called for taking measures to keep the situation with global warming under control, according to the publication Science Direct.
